  • 1 pie crust 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
  • 8 slices 8 slices bacon Cooked until crispy
  • 1 cup 1 cup Swiss cheese (shredded)
  • 4 large 4 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups 1½ cups heavy cream
Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons fresh chives (chopped)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Place your pie dish on the counter.
  3. Fry bacon until crispy brown, about 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels and chop into small pieces.
  4. Roll out your pie crust, press it into your pie dish, and prick the bottom with a fork.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until combined.
Assembly
  1. Sprinkle bacon across the pie crust, followed by shredded Swiss cheese.
  2. Pour the egg mixture over everything and sprinkle fresh chives on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for about 1 month. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
