Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the milk and chocolate chips if you’re feeling extra decadent.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle that over the batter, and dot with butter pieces.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
Serving
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. For longer storage, refrigerate up to a week. Reheat for a few seconds in the microwave for a gooey texture.
