  • 1 piece ripe banana The riper, the better for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • 1 cup almond milk Or any milk of choice.
  • 1 tablespoon protein powder Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness.
  • as needed cubes ice cubes Optional for chilled smoothie.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the ripe banana, matcha green tea powder, almond milk, and protein powder (if using).
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. If desired, add honey or maple syrup and blend quickly.
  4. Add ice cubes if you prefer a colder smoothie and blend again until frosty.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy as a nutritious breakfast or post-workout drink!

Notes

Smoothie keeps in the fridge for about 24 hours. For meal prep, blend everything except ice and store in an airtight container for up to three days.
