  • 1 cup blueberries Fresh or frozen
  • 1 ripe banana For creaminess
  • 1 cup almond milk Can substitute with other dairy-free milk
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter Optional for added creaminess
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness
  • as needed none Ice cubes Optional for a colder smoothie

Method
 

Preparation and Blending
  1. In a blender, combine blueberries, banana, almond milk, and almond butter if using.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. If desired, add honey or maple syrup to sweeten.
  4. Add ice cubes for a colder smoothie and blend again.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. The smoothie can also be frozen for later use.
