Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, and salt.
- Add the cubed cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese.
- Gradually add the buttermilk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix!
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, dried parsley, and garlic salt. Brush this mixture over the warm biscuits before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven until warm.
