  • 1 pound Sausage (bulk or casings removed) Use your preferred sausage flavor.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to substitute with different cheeses.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Adjust as needed until mixture holds together.
  • 1/4 cup Seasoned butter (for basting) Melted for basting during the last few minutes of baking.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional) Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder (optional) Adds more savory notes.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Red Lobster Biscuit Mix, sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Gradually add milk until the mixture holds together.
  4. If desired, add garlic powder and onion powder for extra flavor.
  5. Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. In the last 5 minutes of baking, baste with seasoned butter.
  3. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

These sausage balls last in the fridge for up to 3 days and can be frozen before baking. For variations, try using vegan sausage or different cheeses. Don't skip the optional spices for enhanced flavor.
