Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 4 slices Bread, thick-cut (Rye or sourdough can be used as alternatives.)
  • 2 tbsp Butter (Use less if your butter is very soft.)
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (Sharp cheddar is recommended.)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (Brings stretchiness to the sandwich.)
Seasonings
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Parsley, fresh (Dried parsley can be used in a pinch.)
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (Skimping on salt makes the whole sandwich flat.)

Method

Cooking
  1. In a pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, black pepper, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Place one slice of bread on the pan, butter side down, then add a layer of beef, followed by cheddar and mozzarella.
  5. Place another slice of bread on top, butter side up.
  6. Cook until golden brown on one side, flip, and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Slice and enjoy your cheesy creation!
