Ingredients

Shrimp Marinade
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, mixing to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Grilling
  1. Skewer the shrimp and grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
  2. Remove from the grill, garnish with cilantro, and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a dash of hot sauce to the marinade. Substitute shrimp for chicken if desired, but increase the cooking time. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to avoid burning.
