  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to mix with other types of chocolate.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  6. Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool before slicing and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm with a slather of butter or a dollop of whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
