Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your pie crust in a greased pie dish.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, add the onions, and caramelize until golden brown and fragrant.
- Cook the bacon until it’s chewy, then chop it into pieces and mix it with the caramelized onions.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Sprinkle the bacon and onion mixture into the pie crust, pour the egg mixture over, and then top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
Baking
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and slightly golden on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
For best results, let the quiche cool slightly before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat slices in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
