Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, cranberry sauce, orange zest, and sugar until smooth.
- Cut the pastry into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on one end of each strip.
- Fold the pastry over to encase the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
