  • 1 cup brewed coffee, chilled Use chilled coffee for best results.
  • 2 medjool dates medjool dates, pitted Regular dates can be substituted; may require a bit more for sweetness.
  • 1 cup almond milk Can substitute with oat or coconut milk.
  • 1 banana banana Ripe banana for sweetness and creaminess.
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter Adds creaminess; can adjust to preference.
  • to taste Ice cubes Optional, for a chilled smoothie.

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the chilled coffee, medjool dates, almond milk, banana, and almond butter.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. If desired, add ice cubes and blend again for a chilled smoothie.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

For a thicker smoothie, add more banana or almond butter. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours; stir before consuming. For a chocolate twist, add cocoa powder before blending.
