Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for the dough
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the coating
  • 1/2 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For cooking
  • to taste cooking spray to coat the air fryer basket

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar; bring to a boil.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, and salt; stir until a dough forms.
  3. Let cool slightly, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Roll the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place churro bites in a single layer.
  2. Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. In a bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; toss churro bites in the mixture while still warm.

Notes

These churro bites are best enjoyed freshly made. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for one month. Reheat in the air fryer for optimal crispiness.
