Preparation
- Get your frying oil hot.
- In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until coarsely chopped.
- In a bowl, mix the chopped shrimp with breadcrumbs, corn starch, egg, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the shrimp balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serving
- Serve with sweet chili sauce.
Notes
Chill the mixture for about 30 minutes for easier handling. For a spicy kick, consider adding some chili flakes. Don't overcrowd the frying pan.
