Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyère)
  • 1 cup diced vegetables (spinach, mushrooms, peppers, or zucchini)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon or ham (optional) Optional ingredient
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs, chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Sauté the onion in olive oil until fragrant, then add your diced veggies. Cook until tender, then let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the sautéed vegetables, cheese, and bacon/ham if you’re using it.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased pie dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden on top.
  2. Cool for about 5–10 minutes, slice it up, and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Leftovers keep well in the fridge for about 3–4 days or can be frozen for up to 2 months. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
