  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz smoked salmon Can be substituted with fresh crab meat for luxury.
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (optional) Enhances the flavor of the cream cheese.
  • 1 tbsp capers (optional) For garnishing.
  • to taste none salt and pepper Season to enhance flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the cucumber into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with dill, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on each cucumber round.
  4. Top each round with a piece of smoked salmon.
  5. Garnish with capers if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for 1-2 days. Best consumed fresh. For a vegan option, use vegan cream cheese and alternatives to smoked salmon.
