Ingredients
  

Seafood and Stocks
  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound firm white fish (such as cod or halibut), cut into chunks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups seafood stock or water
Vegetables and Aromatics
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For Serving
  • as needed Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • as needed Crusty bread for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until onion is translucent.
  2. Stir in diced tomatoes, white wine, seafood stock, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add the shrimp and fish, cooking until the seafood is fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

Season to taste and feel free to add more vegetables for nutrition. Can substitute white wine with lemon juice. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
