Ingredients

Filling
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
Sandwich Assembly
  • 10-12 slices bread
Breading
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • as needed Vegetable oil, for frying

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture over half of the bread slices, then top with sliced strawberries. Cover with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
Breading

Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the sandwiches in batches until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Dust the sandwiches with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven for a crispy refresh.
