Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich
  • 8 slices Artisan bread Choose your favorite type
  • 8 oz Quality deli meats (turkey, roast beef, etc.) Mix and match your favorites
  • 4 slices Cheese (cheddar, Swiss, provolone) Use your favorite cheese
  • 2 cups Fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers) Chopped or sliced as preferred
  • 1/4 cup Spread (mayonnaise, mustard, pesto) Choose one or a combination
  • to taste Seasonings (salt, pepper, herbs) Add herbs like oregano or basil for extra flavor

Method
 

Assembly
  1. Select your artisan bread and slice if needed.
  2. Layer quality deli meats on one slice of bread.
  3. Add a slice of cheese on top of the meats.
  4. Layer fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
  5. Spread your choice of condiment on the other slice of bread.
  6. Close the sandwich and press down gently.
  7. Slice in half for easier serving.
  8. Serve with chips or a side salad for a complete meal.

Notes

Store leftover sandwiches in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. For the best results, store without toppings that can wilt, like lettuce or tomatoes, and add those just before serving.
