Lobster Filling
  • 2 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped Fresh lobster is preferred.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Adjust for desired creaminess.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Buns and Garnish
  • 4 pieces New England style hot dog buns Soft and slightly toasted.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For toasting the buns.
  • as needed Lettuce leaves For serving.
  • as needed Chives For garnish, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, toast the hot dog buns in the skillet until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. Place a lettuce leaf in each bun and generously fill it with the lobster mixture.
  2. Garnish with chopped chives if desired.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh lobster from a local market. You can also swap garnishes or adjust the amount of mayonnaise to your liking. Toasting the buns just before serving prevents them from getting soggy.
