Ingredients
  

Lobster Filling
  • 2 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped Use freshly cooked lobster for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can substitute with vegan mayo.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Add more for extra zing.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped celery For crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives or green onions For flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper
Buns
  • 4 hot dog or lobster roll buns Use brioche buns for a gourmet touch.
  • butter for toasting buns Butter the outside for best results.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery, and chives. Mix well.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Toasting Buns
  1. Butter the outside of the rolls and toast them in a skillet until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. Fill each toasted roll with the lobster mixture.
  2. Serve cold and enjoy your homemade Maine lobster rolls!

Notes

Store the lobster mixture separately from the rolls to avoid sogginess. Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for about 1-2 days. The lobster filling can be frozen for up to 3 months.
