Ingredients

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine) Use your favorite type of pasta.
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined) Fresh or thawed frozen shrimp can be used.
Cooking Essentials
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing garlic and cooking shrimp.
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) To enhance the flavors of the dish.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For the creamy sauce.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a cheesy flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season to your preference.
Garnish
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or basil) For garnish before serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the creamy shrimp sauce, making sure to coat the pasta well.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

Make sure your pasta is cooked and drained before starting the sauce. You can swap out shrimp for chicken or tofu, and for an extra kick, add red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic.
