  • 1 cup spinach Fresh spinach for nutrients.
  • 1 piece banana Ripe for natural sweetness.
  • 1 cup almond milk Or any plant-based milk.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder For chocolate flavor.
  • 1 scoop plant-based protein powder Choose your favorite flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract Or fresh mint leaves.
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey Optional for sweetness.
  • as needed cups Ice cubes Optional for a chilled smoothie.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine spinach, banana, almond milk, cocoa powder, protein powder, mint extract, and maple syrup or honey if using.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. If desired, add ice cubes and blend again for a chilled smoothie.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

Serve garnished with cocoa powder or dark chocolate shavings. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake before consuming.
