Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean mixing bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar, continuing until the mixture is glossy and holds stiff peaks.
- Fold in vanilla extract and vinegar gently.
- Spread the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
- Bake for 1 hour until the meringue is crisp and dry.
- Allow it to cool completely in the oven with the door slightly ajar.
Whipping the Cream
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
Assembly
- Once the meringue is cool, carefully peel it off the parchment and spread the whipped cream evenly on top.
- Top with fresh fruits and roll the meringue tightly from one end.
- Slice and serve, garnished with additional fruits if desired.
Notes
Serve fresh and store covered in the fridge for up to two days. For variations, consider adding cocoa powder to the meringue or substituting heavy cream with coconut cream for a tropical twist.
