For the crust
  • 1 pie crust 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
For the filling
  • 6 strips 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled Bacon should be crispy.
  • 1 cup 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped Fresh broccoli for best flavor.
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use a blend of cheeses.
  • 4 large 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pre-bake for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then set it aside and crumble it.
  4. In the same skillet, add the broccoli and sauté for a few minutes until tender.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Spread the crumbled bacon, sautéed broccoli, and shredded cheese evenly in the pre-baked pie crust.
  2. Pour the egg mixture over the filling.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden.
  4. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For serving, pair with a light side salad or drizzle with sriracha or hot sauce for an extra kick. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to a month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) until heated through.
