  • 4 large large eggs
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup fresh lump blue crab meat
  • 1 store-bought pie crust store-bought pie crust
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and half and half until well combined.
  3. Stir in the gruyere cheese, parmesan cheese, and crab meat.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Place the store-bought pie crust into a pie dish.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly browned on top.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a light side salad like arugula and cherry tomatoes. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for a month.
