Ingredients
  

For the Deviled Eggs
  • 6 large large eggs Use older eggs for easier peeling.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise Can substitute with avocado for a vegan option.
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste or sriracha Adjust to taste.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Toasted garlic is recommended for more flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Chopped green onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let them sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Transfer the eggs to ice water to cool.
  3. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
Filling
  1. In a bowl, mix the yolks with soy sauce, mayonnaise, chili paste, minced garlic, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Spoon or pipe the mixture back into the egg whites.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve chilled.

Notes

Refrigerate deviled eggs within two hours of making them. They stay fresh for up to three days. For a fresher bite, prepare the filling ahead of time and fill the eggs just before serving. Freezing is not recommended.
