Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 head head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Substitute with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey (or maple syrup), corn starch, and water until smooth.
  3. Toss the cauliflower florets in the sticky sauce until well coated.
  4. Spread the coated florets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning midway, or until golden and crispy.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For best results, cut florets evenly for uniform cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven to restore crispiness. Adjust the sweetness to taste and add spice with red pepper flakes if desired.
