  • 2 tablespoons sugar for the dough
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast for leavening

  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed to activate yeast
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted for richness
  • 1 large egg for binding
Filling Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened for the filling
  • 1/4 cup sugar for sweetness in filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for flavor
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 cup strawberries, pureed for the glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for sweetness in glaze
  • 2 tablespoons milk to achieve desired consistency of glaze

Method
 

Preparation of the Dough
  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warmed milk, melted butter, and egg; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Filling
  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Assemble the Rolls
  1. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough.
  3. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  4. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking the Rolls
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a bowl, mix pureed strawberries, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  2. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
