Ingredients
  

For the cheesecake filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
For assembly and frying
  • 1 pkg Wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Sliced for topping
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar For dusting
  • 2 cups Oil For frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Lay out wonton wrappers and place a small spoonful of the cheesecake mixture in the center of each wrapper.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold over, and press to seal.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the sealed wontons until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serving
  1. Top with fresh strawberries and dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

Notes

Don't overfill the wontons to prevent them from bursting while frying. For a healthier option, brush with oil and bake instead of frying. You can also switch out strawberries for blueberries or raspberries.
