Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (1/4 ounce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk warm
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk to achieve desired glaze consistency

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine milk and butter; heat until warm. Add to the dry mixture along with the egg. Knead until smooth and let rise for about 1 hour.
Filling and Baking
  1. Roll the dough out into a rectangle, spread with chopped strawberries, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Roll up tightly and slice into pieces.
  3. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Glazing
  1. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

These rolls are best enjoyed warm right out of the oven. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge.
