Ingredients
  

Pastry Ingredients
  • 1 package puff pastry Thawed if frozen
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting) For serving
Filling Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's soft for easy mixing
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Alternatively, use raspberries or blueberries

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry rectangle.
  5. Top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over to partially cover the filling, and brush with the beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These pastries can be stored in the fridge for about 2-3 days or frozen for up to a month. Reheat before serving.
