Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry rectangle.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over to partially cover the filling, and brush with the beaten egg.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
These pastries can be stored in the fridge for about 2-3 days or frozen for up to a month. Reheat before serving.
