Preparation
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until fully combined.
- In a shallow dish, combine coffee and coffee liqueur.
Assembly
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and layer them in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top.
- Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, the remaining mascarpone, and strawberries.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
Notes
For a twist, you can substitute strawberries with raspberries or blueberries. This dessert can be made a day in advance for best flavor.
