Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Use natural peanut butter for creamier texture
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Add more for tanginess if desired
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup Can be substituted with agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Essential for flavor
  • 1-2 tablespoons water To thin, if necessary
  • Red pepper flakes Optional, for heat

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, maple syrup, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
  2. Whisk together until smooth.
  3. If the sauce feels too thick, add water a little at a time until it reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Adjust seasoning with red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
Serving Suggestions
  1. Use the sauce over stir-fried veggies, toss it with noodles, or drizzle over salads and grain bowls.

Notes

Store in the fridge for about 1 week in an airtight container. The sauce may thicken up, so give it a good stir before using. Can also be frozen for about 3 months.
